Breadcrumbs are a secondary form of navigation on websites and are an addition to the main menu. They are located in the upper area of a website and often display the hierarchy of a page.

An example: If a customer visits the category Boards of a kitchen shop and then navigates to the sub-category Vegetables Cutting Boards, the breadcrumbs may look like this:

Home page > Boards > Vegetables Cutting Boards
